This document outlines the Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy for Syntable, encompassing the Syntable mobile and web applications (the "App"), our respective backend services, and the informational landing website (the "Site").

Any reference to "Syntable", "we", "our", or "us" in these policies applies to the service managed and operated from Buenos Aires, Argentina.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Syntable (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.

2. Description of Service

Syntable is an AI-powered educational and productivity platform that allows users to process various inputs (such as text, PDFs, audio, and YouTube video URLs) to synthesize notes, study cards, and documents. The Service offers export functionalities in formats like DOCX and EPUB, as well as an AI chat assistant for learning assistance.

3. User Accounts and Subscriptions

  1. Registration: To access most features of the Service, you must create an account. You represent and warrant that all information you provide is accurate and up to date.
  2. Subscriptions: Syntable may offer paid subscription plans (e.g., Monthly and 6-Month plans, and Institutional plans). Payments are processed securely via third-party payment providers. By purchasing a subscription, you agree to the recurrent billing cycle as disclosed during the checkout process.
  3. Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellations will apply at the end of the current billing cycle.

4. Refund Policy

All sales are subject to a 14-day refund policy from the date of the original transaction. Within this period, users may request a full refund without providing any justification. After this 14-day period, all sales are considered final and non-refundable. To request a refund, please contact our support team or follow the instructions provided in your transaction confirmation receipt. We process all eligible refunds in accordance with applicable consumer protection laws.

5. Delivery Policy

Upon successful processing of your payment, your subscription limits (e.g., unlimited document processing, extended AI chat requests) are immediately unlocked and delivered to your Syntable account digitally. No physical goods are provided.

6. User Content and Acceptable Use

  1. Ownership: You retain all intellectual property rights in the source materials (PDFs, text, audio recordings) that you upload to the Service ("User Content").
  2. License to Syntable: By uploading User Content, you grant Syntable a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, process, and analyze the content exclusively to provide, maintain, and improve the Service for you.
  3. Acceptable Use: You agree NOT to upload or process:
    • Content that belongs to a third party for which you have not obtained explicit permission or that violates copyright laws.
    • Material that is illegal, explicit, abusive, harassing, or intended to exploit or harm minors.
    • Malicious files or code.

7. Third-Party AI Services

Syntable relies on advanced third-party AI models (including Google Gemini and OpenAI technologies) to process your data and generate notes, study cards, and answers.

  • By using the Service, you acknowledge that your inputs may be sent to these providers via API for processing.
  • Syntable does not guarantee the absolute accuracy, reliability, or correctness of the AI-generated outputs. Always manually verify generated content, especially for critical educational or professional use.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Syntable and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the Service, including but not limited to the loss of data or corruption of uploaded materials.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Argentina, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes relating to these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Buenos Aires, Argentina.

10. Changes

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time.
